Pritchard Memorial Golf Tournament
Date
2025
Location
Manitoba
Since 1998, the Pritchard Memorial Golf Tournament has been raising money in honour of Mike Pritchard, who died of cancer that year. Over the last 13 years since moving to Carman, the tournament has raised over $763,000 for cancer-related charities in Manitoba, with 100% of proceeds now going directly to South Central Cancer Resource. That's a remarkable story. It just wasn't being told effectively.
The tournament was being run by family members and dedicated volunteers, which is exactly the kind of labour of love that keeps community events alive and also exactly the kind of operation that ends up with an outdated site managed by whoever had time to log in last. The old site couldn't handle the complexity of what the tournament actually needed: online registration and payment, raffle ticket sales, a 50/50 draw, an online auction, and donation processing, all running reliably in the weeks leading up to a single high-stakes annual event.
We rebuilt it from the ground up, integrating third-party systems for registration and the 50/50 draw, and building the auction and donation flows into a site that volunteers can actually manage year over year. We also helped them see and articulate the scale of what they'd built over nearly three decades, because $763,000 raised for cancer research is not a footnote, it's the whole point, and it deserved to be front and centre.
If you run a charity event, a fundraiser, or an annual tournament and your current setup means you're dreading the operational side of it every year, we can make that significantly less painful.
