Two Toques is a design and development company run by John and Melle Curtis based in Surrey, BC, specializing in creating high-quality web designs for Canadians.

With John’s background in enterprise software and Melle’s experience as an artist, designer and former salon owner, we’ve built a collaboration that adapts to your needs—whether you need a small web presence or a custom-developed creative solution.

John
I started programming at 11, copying BASIC games out of Compute! Gazette magazine -- this started a life-long love for writing software. I attended the University of Waterloo where I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and started my 25 year career developing software at startups and Big Tech companies. I have carried this knowledge and passion into building solutions for "little big companies" that are quickly outgrowing their current software and operational infrastructure.
I knew Melle as a teenager and 23 years later, we finally got married and are happily building both family and business together.
Melle
I see an opportunity to create art at the core of everything I do. My career arc has taken me through many artistic avenues, starting in Esthetics for 28 years. I dabbled in interior design and remodelling and drafted plans for a custom home. I rekindled my high school love of graphic design when I became a salon owner.
When I met John, I was 13, he was 14. Even back then, I felt like we had a great connection. Eventually, the stars aligned, and we got married. We have been great partners ever since, no matter what we tackle.
