Carman Golf and Curling Club

The Carman Golf and Curling Club is a serious operation: an 18-hole course rated among the best-maintained in Manitoba, a five-sheet curling facility, a 200-seat restaurant, and a tournament calendar that runs all season. Their website was failing to showcase their incredible facilities. It hadn't been meaningfully updated in years, the design was tacky, the mobile experience was completely broken, and perhaps most damaging, nobody on staff could actually publish new information without the whole thing falling apart. For a club running a full events calendar and multiple active leagues across two sports, that's not a minor inconvenience, it's a fundamental operational failure.

Dean came to us with a clear vision of what he needed: a site that looked worthy of the club, worked properly on every device, and could actually be maintained by the people running the place day to day.

We built it on Wix Studio specifically because of how well it handles that last requirement. The architecture was designed so that staff could add tournament results, post photos, and update pages without any risk of breaking the layouts we built. Since launch, the club's golf pro has been doing exactly that, independently, without needing to call anyone. That's not an accident, it's a deliberate design decision that we made at the start of the project.
